If you’re like most people, you might be feeling the immense anxiety of 2-3 months of solid partying and forgetting about some of the pillars that keep you looking and feeling Hot, Healthy and Happy.
More often than not, when people feel like this, I see them dive into some wild ass diets and exercise regimens.
They declare they will workout 5-6 days a week and eliminate all sugar … forever.
I do my very best to stay outta people’s way when they feel this surge of panicked fitness anxiety. They’re not ready to listen to logic.
Remember, you’ve tried this hard core method 50 times already. Have you already forgotten that right before bathing suit season you worked out 6 days a week on 1,000 calories and you ended up losing your marbles 2 weeks in, ate an entire bag of Oreos, and felt sick the next day.– your memory
No judgement. I’ve been there. Done that. And I get it. It’s hard to turn down the HARD CORE STUFF when you feel fluffy.
The knee jerk reaction is “to get this weight off as soon as possible” and extreme tactics feel the fastest.
Do what you need to do.
I’m simply here to make sure you know that at sweatlocal we are going to spend January NAILING THE BASICS.
Because, truth be told, once we have our fitness pyramid base nice and strong we can tack on more later.
And we will. But for now… we begin by NAILING THE BASICS.
